Last Updated: January 10, 2026
We at NexusTerminal respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our application ("App").
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We are committed to data minimization.
- No Server-Side Storage: We do not operate a backend server to store your user data. We do not have access to your servers, files, or terminal history.
- Sensitive Data: Your SSH Private Keys, Passwords, Hostnames, and Usernames are stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms (such as the iOS Keychain and encrypted local databases). We never upload this data to our own servers.
2. Information We Collect
The App may collect limited data to function properly:
- App Settings: Preferences like theme, font size, and language are stored locally.
- Usage Data (Anonymous): Apple may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics (e.g., app launches) if you have opted-in to share analytics with developers in your iOS settings. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (like Google Analytics or Facebook SDK).
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to provide specific features. Their use of your information is governed by their respective privacy policies.
3.1 AI Assistant (LLM Providers)
If you use the AI Assistant feature:
- Data Transmission: The text prompts you enter and the context of your chat history are transmitted to the AI provider you selected (e.g., OpenAI).
- No SSH Keys: Your SSH keys and server passwords are NEVER sent to the AI provider.
- Privacy: We recommend not sending sensitive personal data or secrets in your AI prompts.
3.2 Apple Services
- iCloud: If you enable iCloud features, your data (encrypted) is stored in your personal iCloud account managed by Apple. We cannot access this data.
